A Bio for Your Troubles

Shelbi has been performing since the moment she rocketed out of her mother in 2002. Great expectations were set on her when the baby shower before she had even arrived was themed “A Star is Born” .

From toddler age to 6, she expressed her dire need for attention by staging “The Shelbi Show” every day for various family members and being scouted as a child actor- because that’s what happens when you are raised in California (though that opportunity fell flat because she got stage fright when hustled onto a dark stage of a vast amphitheater by loud strange adults, can you really blame her?)

The shame of her missed opportunity at stardom haunts her to this day, so she pursues that lost fame through her theater engagements. Starting in the middle school drama club to the high school theater program, she was mostly involved in tech crew till her first big girl acting role as The Cook in Clue in 2019. Her biggest role was playing Veta Louise Simmons in Harvey, 2020.

Since then, she’s declared a Theater Performance major, which means a lot of auditions and very few roles, though she doesn’t let that stop her from getting involved. Fall quarter of 2021, she scored an Assistant Set design position with the STP production of Emma. February- March of 2022, she performed in a show for the Sylvia Center’s Serial Killer Festival, where she is enjoyed experiencing community theater and the comfort of returning to the stage.

Her most recent project is as an ensemble member of Flooded Production's Bonnie and Clyde, premiering August 23rd 2024.

Besides acting, Shelbi enjoys creating theater in the form of playwrighting and prop design, as well as personal art endevorus with drawing and painting. She’s inspired heavily by her woodsy surroundings, residing in Washington state and feels privileged to be living in this beautiful place, on stolen native land.

There's nothing else down here!
